Stoke City 1-1 United

United battled to earn a point

It was a hard fought game for United stars. Britannia is now a fortress for the Potters. With their fans behind them, United facing their hardest game so far. The Potters seemed very determined  to give United the hard time. They gave no room for United player to move and to play their game. Very discipline and closed down United players quickly. Only after 25 minutes United finally settled down and adapted their game. Again Nani showed he already matured and fast becoming world class player by scoring another beautiful goal. Combined with Flecther then danced through Stoke players and scored.

United started without Rooney who said was injured during training on Friday. In for him was Berbatov partnered by Hernandez. Rio Ferdinand back for central defender with Valencia surprising played as right back. Hernandez  played only three minutes before he was floored by Woodgate then crushed into the ground together with Begovic the Stoke keeper. United keep on playing for about eight minutes with 10 players before Owen was introduced to replaced the Mexican. United struggled with physical game imposed by the host with left Sir Alex who usually calm came to technical are to protest.

United also struggled with aerial threat posed by the lanky Crouch who finally scored from a corner. Pulis game plan to use his wingers then delivered crosses to Crouch was successful. Jones and Ferdinand in many time failed to hold Crouch. 

When the game ended the Brittania roared like they won a cup while United players gazing for the lost points.

United still topped the league but only by a goal different. Still many games to go.
