Sir Alex Ferguson had full fill his mission to knock down The Reds from the perch. Now to prove their supremacy against their bitter rival The Red Devils must beat Liverpool at the Reds own turf. Comprehensive wins in front of the faithful Liverpudlians would be larger than life for Sir Alex Ferguson team. Both fans claimed they are the best club in England. Although United had surpassed Liverpool for Champion of England, the Reds fans will bank on five times European Champions as their superior reason.
For me though United-Liverpool clash always been label as big match, the nature of the game itself always bored. It was not game like against Arsenal or Chelsea. Games against Liverpool usually in slow tempo, cautious, lack of attempts and adventures move. I remember the FA Cup Final 1996. United just won their third league title in four years while Liverpool was desperate to land major trophy after last won the FA Cup in 1992. Both fans very anxious to get into this game. However I believed most of the fans were frustrated by the performance by both teams. It was boring game. The ball was played most of the time in the midfield. United keeper Schmeichel and James for Liverpool were hardly been tested. The only memorable moment was Cantona goal. Great technic and skill by United skipper. That was it. But maybe this time I'm wrong. I hope so.
So maybe there will change in United line up. United might welcome back their skipper Vidic. Evans might be the partner for centerback position with Jones and Evra as the fullbacks. Though Cleverley might be fit for the game, I believed Fletcher and Anderson will play. The wingers would be the usual suspects - Young and Nani with both had done great jobs for their country. Rooney and Welbeck will spearhead the attacks. But maybe Sir Alex would opt 4-5-1 to contain Liverpool midfield especially the return of Steven G. Then Giggs would be fifth midfielders to support Rooney as lone striker.
So Glory Glory United. Hoping for 1-3 wins for United.
