Man United Are Champion Yet Again

Red Devils Silence The Noisy Neighbour

It was a memorable performance by Man United. The team put up a brilliant display of football to clinch the 20th title. Robin Van Persie first half hatrick finished the job as the Ducthman showed his masterclass in scoring goal. Same also Rooney who played along Carrick at central of the midfield. He was superb with his passses which amazingly accurate. The way he played resembled the legendary Paul Scholes.

Well enough said. Man United are the champion yet again. A record that proved to be hard to follow.

Michael Carrick: Man United Unsung Hero

Carrick Nominated For PFA Player Of The Year: This is Why.
By Nic EnglishPosted on 19 April, 2013

The PFA has finally announced the shortlist for the PFA Player of the year and the big news is that Michael Carrick is on the shortlist.

While the Manchester United is unlikely to win with Luis Suarez and Gareth Bale the huge favourites, his nomination will stun people who often deride him for his one-paced game. At Squawka we take a different view on the matter.

Carrick has completed more forward passes than any other player in Europe’s top 5 leagues this season. That’s more than Xavi, Pirlo, Schweinsteiger, anyone.

In fact, the sideways passing criticism of Carrick doesn’t match up in any shape or form. Over three quarters of his passes are played forward.

The fact that the former Spurs man achieves a pass completion rate of 88% while playing so many forward is a testament to his importance to a Manchester United team which has swept the Premier League in extremely impressive fashion.

Consistency is an underrated facet of the modern game and Carrick provides that in abundance, never changing his game or altering performance based on the quality of the opposition

While nobody believes he will or should win, a player of Carrick’s quality and temperament is a huge asset in the Premier League and while he may not shine in the way Bale, RVP or Suarez do; who’s to say he isn’t just as valuable. Sir Alex wouldn’t.

Tottenham 3-1 Man City

Man United Will Clinch The Title If Win Against Villa

It was a superb performance by the host Tottenham with a comeback to beat Man City by 3-1. The win not only brought joy to the Tottenham but also created euphoria for Red Devils fans and supporters all over the world. The home defeat by Man City then followed by a draw with West Ham just a delay for the inevitable. The fact that the trophy will cross from the blue side to the red side of the Mancunian can’t be denied.

Now the gap between the two teams is 13 points. If Man United beat Villa it will open 16 points gap. Man City is left with five matches with bring 15 point maximum to grab.

Again it was a great match where Tottenham shown their character in the last 15 minutes. After trailing to the visitor as early in 5th minute through Samir Nasri strike, their persistent and self believed prevail. It was out of nothing actually when Man City took the lead. A  great work by Tevez at the left of Tottenham goal was continued by Milner who collected a brilliant reverse pass from the Argentine. The England man then squared the ball towards Samir Nasri who calmly slotted home. But then it was Tottenham that pushed forward but still in calmly way. They won the midfield with Yaya Toure  strangely look ineffective.  Mossa Dembele seemed to outwit him.

However things look better for Tottenham in the second especially after De Foe and Huddlestone were brought in. Huddlestone especially bring the energy, dynamic and confidence into the team. In the 75th minutes Tottenham scored the deserved equalizer through Clint Dempsey who been assisted by Gareth Bale. Then five minutes later DeFoe showed why should be the first eleven not Adebayor by scoring a beauty for Tottenham second goal. Gareth Bale then put the final nail into City coffin by scoring the third.

So Man United fan, Red Devils will take on Villa  at home at 3.00 am Tuesday. Get ready to party. Glory Glory Man United

165th Manchester Derby

Title in Touching Distance

Surely not the title decider match. It is more to King of Manchester match. The blue half of Mancunian will visit the legendary Old Trafford knowing title already slipping away from their hand. But the damage control needs to be done. They can’t afford to lose away to The Red Devils as if that happen the gap would be 18 points. Really embarrassing way to concede a title. What more to their fiercest rival.

As the Devils the comprehensive win over Man City would be a good medicine after crashing two major trophies – The FA Cup and UCL. Many said that Fergie had the best squad ever with and addition of Dutch goal machine- Robin Van Persie. But again the weakest link is in the midfield. Since the departure of Roy Keane Man United struggle in that area. They need the real enforce like Yaya Toure at Man City. The Blue midfielder is obviously the best midfielder in BPL right now. There were talks that Man United will sign Victor Wanyama from Celtic. Well after watching he played I believed he should be great addition to Man United. He controlled the midfield comfortably. He defended the backfour very well and he scored too. A perfect midfielder.

Back to the derby. I believed both managers will send the best team available. De Gea is getting better each day. So Iker Casillas remark “ He retires us all,” is becoming spot on. Hoping to see Ferdinand and Vidic at central of defense with Rafael and Evra as the fullbacks. Well rumours has it that Man United will sign Benfica centre-half Ezequiel Garay. The Argentinian is known for his aerial prowess and reading of the game, is the back bone of the Potugal outfit. After spending not so success three seasons with Real Madrid, his move to Benfica had rejuvenated his career. He was now among much sought after defender in Europe. Reports said that Barca also in line for his signature. Well the towering Garay should be direct replacement for Ferdinand. He is 26 so still young with many years ahead of him.

Vidic was reported unfit so most likely Smalling, as Evans also reported had an injury, will take his place. In midfield the evergreen Carrick together with Cleverley will partner at central of the field. Valencia will take the right flank. On the left Nani, Young, Kagawa and Giggs will fight to fill the slot. I believed Giggs will be given the honour. Devils need experience player for this kind of big games. In Attacks Rooney should claim his place back together with RVP.

So what is the prediction? I love to see Man United humiliated Man City with bigger scoreline. 7-0 perhaps hehehe. But 3-0 should be make the fans  very happy.
