No Gaard Between The Posts

Gaard down so Utd stay in Gea
31 January 2012

FLOP David De Gea faces Stoke tonight after Anders Lindegaard suffered a horror training injury.
Danish keeper Lindegaard was in line for a Manchester United recall after De Gea's shaky show in the defeat at Liverpool.

But Lindegaard was left screaming in agony after injuring an ankle in training and United's medical team fear he has damaged ligaments.

It is the last news boss Alex Ferguson needed after crashing out of the FA Cup to their big rivals.

And 21-year-old De Gea was again under fire for his display at Anfield.

The Spaniard failed to deal with a corner for Liverpool's opener in the 2-1 loss, dropped a simple cross and knocked one clearance straight to Stewart Downing.

Fergie's selection of De Gea at Anfield had raised eyebrows after 27-year-old Lindegaard appeared to have stolen a march in the battle to be United's first-choice keeper.

He had played in all but the Boxing Day loss to Blackburn in United's last six games and was set to get a recall against Stoke.

But now Fergie will be forced to stick with De Gea for the arrival of Tony Pulis' heavy artillery at Old Trafford.

United are also set to be without Wayne Rooney again after he missed Saturday's defeat with a damaged ankle.

But Rio Ferdinand, on the bench at Anfield, will be back in action.

Winger Nani is also close to a return after suffering a badly-bruised foot and could feature in Sunday's trip to Chelsea.

Phil Jones, who injured an ankle in the league win over Arsenal, is also nearing a comeback.

Social Networth as Facebook gets set to float
Firm could be worth up to £64billion
31 January 2012

FACEBOOK founder Mark Zuckerberg is poised for a £16billion payday as his iconic social network is floated on Wall Street.

The 27-year-old's website is expected to file papers as early as tomorrow with a view to being listed on the US stock market this spring.

It is likely to be valued at between £48billion to £64billion. That would hand Facebook's baby-faced founder a "paper fortune" of £16billion through the shares he holds.

Zuckerberg created Facebook in 2004 in his dorm at Harvard University. The website was for students but then took off worldwide. It now has more than 800 million users.

The typical member has 130 "friends". A staggering 250 million photos are uploaded every day.

Facebook is thought to have made £640million last year. A float was seen as inevitable once Facebook's number of private shareholders crossed the 500 mark.

James Montgomery, head of US investment bank Montgomery & Co, said: "The float will be iconic."

At £64billion, Facebook would be worth roughly the same as McDonald's and five times more than Yahoo!

The Facebook story was immortalised in movie The Social Network, starring Jesse Eisenberg as Zuckerberg and Justin Timberlake as pal Sean Parker.

BPL Preview: United vs Stoke City

United Will Bounce Back

United will host Tony Pulis men at home after demoralizing FA Cup defeat  at the hand of their arch rival Liverpool. It was a painful defeat. United need to win the game and cup to lift up their moral and game after been eliminated from UCL. It was no so pretty season for United though started very well in the beginning. United just back to their normal game and defeat was something that not been wanted at the moment.

Now Stoke City is coming and will try to implicate more wounds. But the wounded tiger usually will be more cruel and Stoke may facing the backlash. Pulis team is very strong at home but mostly fragile on the road. United never lost  against them and should continue doing this. However United seemed to face the never ending injury problems. Though Ferguson masterly prepared his team using the resources available but sometimes it went awfully.

For this game surely De Gea will be dropped and be replaced by Lindegaard. Ferdinand said to be fit for this game so he should claim his place back along Smalling as central defenders. Evra will keep his place at left back same will do for Rafael. Valencia surely started as the right winger. Carrick and Scholes as central midfielder. Park at the expense of Nani will play at the left wing. United needs more edge at the attack so two strikers are needed. Welbeck will play with Hernandez since Rooney was reported hit by injury.

Hope United will score many goal tomorrow morning to lift up their moral.

Glory glory United.

FA Cup 4th Round Liverpool 2-1 United

Liverpool Achieves Double On Manchester

Dirk Kuyt scored late to see his team edged United 2-1 in pulsating match in the FA Cup tied last weekend. It was a major blow for United who was much better side on that game. Two mistakes resulted two easy goals for Liverpool. It was again De Gea that on the sportlights. His trouble with crosses again made him vulnerable. The first goal easily been pointed as his fault though the second one he should done much better. However as a goal keeper the second goal would be blamed one the lapse on concentration. United backlines were caught napping.

United seemed to loss control when Scholes was been replaced. Liverpool was the first to have a go when Daglish boldly changed his tactic for more offensive. Neither teams wanted a replay so both looking for a win. And it was Liverpool that succeeded.

However the game was over my expectation as it was interesting to watch. No major incidents and talking points. Both teams poised to the talking on pitch which was applauded.

Two down (three actually) two more to go.

Inland Revenue Board Malaysia To Collect About RM110 billion

LHDN yakin capai sasaran kutipan cukai RM109.099b
13 January 2012

Malaysian Customs Collect RM30.4billion in 2011

Customs Dept breaks revenue record with RM30bil last year
27 January 2012

PETALING JAYA: The Customs Department broke its revenue collection record with RM30.4bil last year, the highest ever.

Its director-general Datuk Seri Mohamed Khalid Yusuf said the previous highest collection was in 2008 with RM28.6bil.

Last year’s collection was RM2.05bil or 7.24% more than what was collected in 2010.

“We are proud of this achievement and together with the help of the public and corporate citizens, we aim to collect more revenue for the Government so that it can continue with the nation building process,” he said at the national-level World Customs Day celebration.

Present at the event was Second Finance Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Husni Hanadzalah.

Khalid said the five top contributors to the revenue collection were domestic excise duty (RM8.40bil), domestic sales tax (RM5bil), service tax (RM4.9bil), import sales tax (RM3.5bil) and excise duty for imported goods (RM3.1bil).

He added thst the top five commodities, which contributed to the department’s revenue collection last year were vehicles (RM10.6bil), cigarettes (RM3.4bil), crude oil (RM2bil), liquor (RM1.66bil) and telecommunication products (RM1.25bil).

“In 2011, our enforcement division seized contraband worth RM524.9mil and the amount we have managed to save in unpaid taxes was RM471mil,” he said.

Khalid said the department, which is an active member of the World Customs Organisation, had a close working relationship with its counterparts from other countries as well as local agencies and the private sector to facilitate trade and ensure safety of the supply chain.

He said the department was also involved in the free trade agreement (FTA) discussions Malaysia had with other nations, adding that current FTA talks were with Turkey, Australia, European Union and Organisation of Islamic Conference (OIC) member countries, among others.

FA Cup Liverpool vs United

Another Grudge Match

It will be the first time the two giants in English football have met since Luis Suarez was banned for eight matches for racially abusing Patrice Evra in the 1-1 draw in October 2011. Both team already eliminated the super rich City in two cups campaign. Liverpool a few days before held a 2-2 drew with the Citizen in second round semi final of Carling to see them to the final with aggregate 3-2. Meanwhile United eliminated City from FA Cup campaign after defeated their neighbor 3-2 in the third round.

Again it is a massive game with tense rivalry. Though the game between usually played in cautious styles with limited adventurous move and chances, it still massive game.

United are still plagued by a number of injuries going into this game and things got worst with Jones and Nani became the latest addition. Both were substituted because of injury against Arsenal, with the Portugal winger possibly out of action for two months with what may be ligament damage or a broken metatarsal.

Vidic is ruled out for the rest of the season while Ferdinand fitness is still in doubt, so it was unlikely Evra will be rested. Evans and Smalling will play as central defender with Rafael at the right. Again Valencia would hard to drop so he will keep the right wing position. With Nani injured Ji Sung Park will play at the left wing. Carrick will partner either Scholes or Giggs as central midfielders. Rooney and Welbeck again spearhead the attack.

Arsenal 1-2 United

Wenger To Blame?

City and Tottenham grabbed the highlights this season with their superb performances so far. And their encounter that saw City edged Tottenham 3-2 also was entertaining with many dramas and incidents. However it was still Arsenal vs United that topped the bill in BPL games. Arsenal went down 1-2 against their arch rival in front of their faithful that later surprisingly voice their resentment towards Wenger.

In was a great game to watch. English game at their finest. According to the statistics Arsenal had 14 attempts on goal while United only had 9. However Arsenal only managed three shots on goal while United had six.

In the game with many great moves it was United that scored first. In the dying minutes of half time Valencia headed home after receiving a cross from Giggs. But Arsenal got back into the game in the second half. It was Van Persie attempts that gave the sign. Rosicky stole the ball in United half after Smalling slipped then trusted forward. He then squared the ball to Van Persie but luckily for United he blasted it wide. Arsenal getting stronger after that. However it was United that almost had the second. A long ball played Welbeck through. He shrugged off Arsenal last defender and slipped ball past through the goal keeper however it was cleared off the line by Mertesacker. Then the Emirates roared. Fined tackle from Mertesacker on Rafael broke United attacks. Then ball cleared diagonally towards Rosicky that quickly send another pass towards Oxlade Chamberlain who had empty place that been left by Rafael. He moved forward then made a reverse pass to Van Persie and the Ducthman with his caliber will not waste the chance. It was typical Arsenal counter attack.

The Emirates surely believed that game had turned into their way after the goal. United also slowing their game with Rooney positioned himself in the midfield. Then came the moment of truth. Arsene Wenger made the change that stunned not only the Emirates but also Van Persie. Oxlade Chamberlain was taken out and replaced by out of favour Arshavin. To make thing worst it was Arshavin sloppiness that created United second. He was been far away from Valencia when United winger received the ball. Then he was easily beaten and more awful he showed no seriousness to stop Valencia. With such calmness Valencia rolled the ball to Park Ji Sung who then returned the ball. Showing his class and awareness in spite made an attempt on goal he passed the ball to Welbeck who made no mistake to slam the ball home.

Not sure why Wenger brought Arshavin on. He must had reasons. But the decision was not approved by many. For the first time the crowds were against him. This was absolutely unexpected. There will be callings for his resignation for sure but who will be able to replace him. His is among the best in Europe if not in the world. Though I not supporting Arsenal but I love to see him stay.

Match Preview : Arsenal vs United

Sunday blockbuster between two big clubs in England. Two clubs that not only possess winning characters but also mesmerizing the world with their beautiful game that been such a trademark for both. Though I would agreed that Arsenal played much more beautiful, however it was United that set a standard that later be the benchmark in English football. United under guidance the old grandmaster Sir Alex Ferguson had transformed the English typical football style into more interesting to watch. United played more possessive football that emphasized ball controlling and passing, then combined with speed and skill that mold together  with variations in attacking. Thus awareness, imaginary and vision are also being the important elements. Arsenal was then still the boring boring Arsenal, that used their fullback to attack from the flank. But now Arsenal is a par with Barcelona in term of beautiful football.

Arsenal vs United never a dull encounter. Always played in high tempo with fluid passing from both side. Both team had big character where the game always consider massive.Anybody in the team could emerge as a game winner. And nobody will forget the 'Battle of Buffet'.

Arsenal had came a long way after the humiliation at Old Trafford in early season. The defeat of 2-8 was never cross in most people mind. Even Ferguson look stunned and at times he seemed to feel this should not be happen to Arsenal. United was in great form at beginning of the season while Arsenal was struggling. But Arsenal came out stronger after the match and later it was United that having difficulty. Now they facing each other once again in the second round of the league in the game that promise excitement and nerve breaking sentiments.

I believed Lindegaard will play. The backline would be Evra - Evans - Ferdinand - Rafael. The impressive Valencia and unpredictable Nani will be the wingers. Scholes experience is much needed here so he will play partnered by Carrick. Rooney and Welbeck will be the twin strikers.

Park Ji Sung also should play as Arsenal was his favourite haunting ground. He loved to score against the Gunners. Nani also the same. His performance seemed to peak when against Arsenal. We could see from his skills and goals where sometimes people alleged him of showboating. But for me it was confident and little bit arrogant. However Valencia cannot be left out. His is the best performer so far for United. He and Nani had the highest assist for United to date with seven assist.

For wrap up let see these statistic;

1. Before this game United had won 84 games, lost 67 and drew 42 games against Arsenal from total game of 193.
2. United only conceded six goals on away games.
3. Rooney scored his first Premier League goal, his first Premier League goal for United, his 100th Premier League goal and his 150th goal for United in all competitions against Arsenal.
4.  United have won seven and lost one of their last nine matches against Arsenal in all competitions.

Useful Business Tips

6 Ways To Fail Your Business
17 January 2012

(MoneyWatch)  Sure, businesses fail -- but are you failing your small business?
Here are six ways you could be failing your business:

Your eye has started to wander. You're bored with your business because, well, things have gotten a little stale. You don't want to necessarily leave your company, but you've started to look for a little variety: You're thinking about forming other companies, or starting a side venture, and you pay less and less attention to your primary business. In the process results, relationships with customers and suppliers, and employee morale all suffer.

You focus on the wrong line. When revenue is down it's natural to focus on cutting costs, especially if, like me, you don't come from a sales background. Instead of focusing on the top line and growing sales, you cut and cut and cut until nothing is left. Sometimes it is impossible to save your way to profitability, and focusing on top-line growth is the only long-term answer.

You use "we" at the wrong times. You know there is no "I" in "team" so you try to say "we" -- but at the wrong times. "We worked straight through the weekend," sounds good -- unless you stayed home while your employees were at work. "We need to cut down on errors," sounds good -- unless you're the only one who made the mistakes. Use "I" whenever you personally make a mistake, and use "we" whenever you do something positive.

You network rather than sell. Networking is like sowing seeds. Selling is like harvesting crops. To survive, your business needs sales, not business cards and handshakes. Spend all your time networking on the golf course, at restaurants, and at social events instead of getting out and selling and revenue suffers. Network some of the time -- sell all the time.

You're in it for glory. Does your business serve as an extension of your ego? Is your business just a status symbol? Is your business on display for the greater glory of you? You should serve your business. Your business should not serve you -- and especially not your ego.

You can't stop searching for that one big idea. Innovations and breakthroughs do sometimes build great companies. Innovations and breakthroughs are hard to develop and even harder to deploy, though. Most companies succeed through hard work, attention to detail, and consistent execution. Ignore ideas and small improvements while you search for that one incredible breakthrough and your company will fail. A big idea is unlikely to transform your business; executing lots of small ideas can build a great business.
